Greece is a country in eastern Southern Europe on the Balkan peninsula, with extensive coastlines and islands in the Aegean, Ionian, and Mediterranean Seas. It shares borders in the north with Albania, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Turkey.

Greece has an ancient culture that has had a significant influence on the arts, language, philosophy, politics, and sports of western society, including the genres of comedy and drama, western alphabets, Platonic ideals and the Socratic method, democracies and republics, and the Olympics.

On top of all this, it's a geographically appealing place to visit, with a mountainous mainland and idyllic island beaches.

Destination: ATHENS, GREECE

Athens is the capital city of Greece with a metropolitan population of 3.7 million inhabitants. It is in many ways the birthplace of Classical Greece, and therefore of Western civilization. Athens hosted the 2004 Summer Olympic Games which, to the defiance of critics, were a spectacular success.

The entire urban area of Athens underwent major lasting changes that have improved the quality of life for visitors and residents alike. Aside from the excellent transportation infrastracture that was completed in time for the 2004 Olympics (from new freeways to light rail systems), the city's historic center underwent serious renovation.

Destination: MYKONOS, GREECE

Mykonos is an important Greek island of the Cyclades group, situated in the middle of the Aegean Sea close to Paros. Mykonos is a grand example of unique cycladic architecture set around a picturesque fishing-village bay. Totally whitewashed organic cube-like buildings fit closely together to form a kind of haphazard maze of narrow alley ways and streets.

Destination: SANTORINI, GREECE

Santorini is a volcanic island in the Cyclades group of the Greek islands. It is located between Ios and Anafi islands. It is famous for dramatic views, stunning sunsets from Oia town, the strange white aubergine, the town of Thira and naturally its very own active volcano. There are naturally fantastic beaches such as the beach of Perissa, maybe the best beach in Santorini, the black pebble beach of Kamari, white beach and red beach.
